Guam - It started back in 2012 as a global social media campaign aimed at positioning Guam as a shopping paradise. And today the Guam Visitors Bureau announced the Shop Guam Festival is back starting this weekend featuring a diverse set of shopping incentives and events for visitors and local residents. Along with over 200 offers available this year, GVB marketing manager Pilar Laguana says people can get involved by downloading a new and improved mobile app for Apple and Android devices.

"This is the second year the Guam Visitors Bureau implemented the Shop Guam Festival using mobile marketing and we really want to introduce mobile marketing to our business industry here on Guam who service the tourists and locals because everyone is using smart phones so we would like to reach a wider audience through mobile marketing," she explained.

Coupon booklets are also available in six different languages. Shop Guam starts November 1 to January 12, 2015. For more information visit GVB.
