Guam - Lawmakers returned to their special session this morning but instead of continuing deliberations on Bill 394 the legislation was sent back to committee. The bill was introduced by Vice Speaker BJ Cruz. The measure would create a new hybrid retirement system. Senators however did vote on Bill 411. The legislation was introduced by Sen. Michael Limtiaco. It proposes transferring $75,000 saved from his operational budget and appropriating it to the Guam Memorial Hospital. Governor Eddie Calvo meanwhile is expected to call Senators into another special session to address prior year overtime payments to the Guam Police Department.
