International Early Detection Conference underway

Guam - Clinicians and researchers from across the globe are in Guam to participate in the International Early Detection Conference. The three day event, which kicks off tonight, is hosted by the Cedars Sinai Medical Center and the Guam Medical Association. There are several world renowned physicians that will be sharing their medical knowledge to help improve and address challenges in early detection and early treatment of diseases such as cancer and heart disease.

There are two keynote speakers for the conference they are Dr. Nicholas Nissen and Dr. Ronald Natale. Dr. Nissen's primary areas of research and interest involve liver transplantation and minimally invasive surgery of the liver and pancreas.

As for Dr. Natale his expertise is in lung, bladder and prostate cancers.  The International Conference on Early Detection is being held at The Hyatt from now until the 19th.
