Esther Kia'aina confirmed as secretary of insular affairs

Guam - She was born here on Guam and in the next two weeks Esther Kia'aina will mark her first trip to the island since she was confirmed as the assistant secretary for insular areas. On Monday, Kia'aina began her trip to the Northern Mariana Islands meeting with island leaders. And next week, Kia'aina will visit Guam where she'll be meeting with Governor Eddie Calvo, Guam Legislature and Joint Region Marianas. She'll also deliver the keynote address during the GEDA economic symposium set for October 23 speaking on the importance of the federal relationship with Guam and the Office of Insular Affairs.
