Guam - According to the latest advisory from the National Weather Service 19W has now been upgraded to a Tropical Storm. Although there are NO watches or warnings in effect at this time for the Mariana Islands, the NWS advises island residents to keep posted about the storm's progress.

The center of Tropical Storm 19W is currently located about 1030 miles East-Southeast of Guam. It is moving West at 12 miles per hour. The NWS however anticipates the storm to turn to the West-Northwest tonight and continue West-Northwestward over the next few days. This forecast track would bring Tropical Storm 19W to the vicinity of the Mariana Islands by early Monday morning. Maximum sustained winds currently are 40 miles per hour, but it is expected to intensify and may become a Typhoon by Monday.
