JGPO forward director honored

Guam - In recognition of his exceptional support services to the people of Guam, Joint Guam Program Office Forward Director Captain Philip Old was presented with a legislative resolution this afternoon by Senator Frank Aguon Jr. According to the resolution, as director for nearly two years, Captain Old "has gone above and beyond to keep leaders and the people of Guam informed about the impending military buildup on Guam." Captain Old was further recognized for establishing partnerships on island especially during the release of the 2014 Draft Environmental Impact Statement and upholding the mission of JGPO. According to JGPO Deputy Director Major Darren Alvarez, Captain Old is being transferred to Naples, Italy this week.
