Calvo to meet with DoD official

Guam - In just a matter of days the number two person in the Department of Defense will be on island and as Governor Eddie Calvo describes him he's a good friend to Guam. DoD deputy secretary Robert Work will be on island next week as part of his trip to the Asia Pacific Region. He is scheduled to meet with Governor Calvo on Tuesday.   Work has been on Guam several times in the past when he was the under secretary of the Navy. He was instrumental in the formulation of the 2011 Programmatic Agreement related to preservation of the island's cultural resources as a result of the military buildup. The deputy secretary's trip to the Asia Pacific Region includes stops to Hawaii, Japan and the Republic of Korea.
