Guam - Untalan Middle School was given the all clear today after the Department of Public Works was on site this morning and issued the final occupancy permit.

According to DOE superintendent Jon Fernandez this means the school is ready for operations and now they are directing their efforts to ensure that all classrooms are equipped for the first day of school.

Despite the damage from vandals over the weekend progress is being made to repair the $30,000 worth of damages which Fernandez says will be covered by the contractors insurance. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at the campus tomorrow at 9 a.m. He adds that student orientations have been rescheduled to Thursday, August 14.
