Man arrested for Tumon purse-snatching

Guam - 21-year-old Brian Concepcion Sablan was arrested in connection to a purse snatching in Tumon early Tuesday morning. A Korean tourist reported to police that she was walking down JFK Hill with another male who was pushing a stroller.

The two noticed the suspect walking up towards them from the side parking lot of royal orchid hotel. The man approached her attempting to take the diaper bag that contained baby supplies and $24 in cash.  A struggle ensued resulting her to fall and receive cuts on her leg. She yelled and the suspect released the bag and ran towards route one. The male victim then chased the suspect up the hill towards shell gas station. Four witnesses provided information that lead to the arrest of Sablan.
