Guam - Starting today you and I can expect to pay $3.45 more on our monthly power bills. The Public Utilities Commission last night approved the Guam Power Authority's request to adjust its Levelized Energy Adjustment Clause of fuel recovery surcharge.
This reflects about a 1.3% increase. The hike went into effect today and will remain in effect until January. Included for the first time in this LEAC period is the expected production from the new 25-megawatt solar renewable energy project which is expected to begin producing energy by the end of the year.
