Guam - Department of Veterans Affairs director John Unpingco says renovations to the Veterans Cemetery in Piti is 70% done.

"All the underground crypts are in place there's a small section that remains to be put in place but that is being taken care of now we got the fencing started, the fencing in the back has started and is going up the hill very well, the fencing in the front you can see that as you pass by we're still awaiting the ornamental fence, the things between the post," he shared.

He adds with the recent heavy rains, the project contractor is trying to make up for some time lost with the new completion date set for September 26.
