Guam - Despite today’s inclement weather, Saturday’s 2nd Annual Pleasure Island Guam BBQ Block Party is still a go. Eight local and international teams will be competing in the annual event which takes place tomorrow from 5:30pm-10:00pm.

Pacific Grillers, Team Tunu, Chef Taga and Team Outrigger, Team Asu Smokehouse, Chef Mark Curry and Team Pacific Islands Club, Chef Georgii and Team Russia, Chef Lee and Team Korea, as well as the reigning overall Champion Grill Master, Chef Peter Duenas and Team Meskla will compete in three different BBQ categories – Beef, Chicken and Pork.

Not only will there be awesome BBQ, but island residents and visitors will be able to enjoy the free cultural performances and life music. Various food vendors and local goods from artisans will also be featured.

To ensure the safety of event-goers, San Vitores Road from the crosswalk between UnderWater World and DFS Galleria to the traffic light in front of the entrance to SandCastle will be closed on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. to Sunday, July 6, 2014 at 3:00 a.m.
