Guam - Guam's Kyle Aguon will be stepping into the cage tomorrow night to face Troy Bantiag in the 135-pound division. Aguon has 2 tough decision losses to UFC fighters Russell Doane and Michinori Tanaka. In order for Kyle to stay in title contention he must pull off the win against a very tough fighter from Team Lakay which is highly regarded as the best MMA Gym in the Philippines.
Aguon said, "His style is that Lakay style, that Wushu so I'm just going to be expecting him to try and kick and throw some big bombs but the difference between him is I see him trying to go in for takedowns or submissions. I'm just prepared for wherever it goes. If he wants stand I don't mind and if we are going to go to the ground it doesn't matter. I have been doing a lot of crossfit, sparring a lot. Same old stuff here at Spike 22, MMA Sparring and working a lot on my jiu-jitsu. It's actually pretty cool, I actually fought in the P.I twice. I fought two Filipinos and I lost to one and I beat one so having one come over and fighting us here I feel like it's going to be different for them so they won't be as comfortable. I feel like I have the home field advantage so I'm just going to try and take advantage of that."
