Guam - Stepping into the cage at PXC 44 will be training partners Kyle "Boom" Reyes and Mklane Alfred representing Underworld X-treme Guahan Top Team. Kyle Reyes is set to take on Josh Sapinoso, a Philippine national wrestling champion as well as BJJ gold medalist at the Pan Asians. Alfred is set to take on Saipan fighter Mark Nuique.
Mklane Alfred with UX GTT said, "For this fight I have been doing all areas as always wrestling, jiu-jitsu, stand up and muay thai. Just getting ready for all areas. The body feels good and training camp has been brutal but you have to get the job done and do what you do. This time around I'm real hungry for the finish my last fight didn't go the way I wanted it to go but it's all good. I just want that victory, I love my fans and they just make me more fired up to get in there and get the job done."
Kyle Reyes has been busy in the fight game, Boom has a loss under his belt to Sapinoso's training partner, then knocked out Tae Kyun Kim and then suffered a decision loss to Yusuke Yachi at PXC 42.
Reyes said, "Well I'm just learning more about my body, myself and my eating and everything else like that so of course I changed up my diet and it's a lot more clean and it gives me a lot more energy. I feel good fighting in front of the home crowd and I get hyped up and I'm comfortable. I'm fighting someone from the Philippines and I don't know much about my opponent, the only thing I know about him is that he is training partners with the guy I lost to in the Philippines, Rolando. Of course this is a big motivation for me and that is getting me a lot more hyped up for this fight. My training I feel better than ever right now. My cardio is on point and I feel fast and I feel a lot more comfortable coming into this fight."
A press conference will be held tomorrow at the P.I.C Amphitheater at 11:00 am with weigh-ins for PXC 44 scheduled for Thursday at 11:00am also being held at the P.I.C Amphitheater.
