Guam - While several of the island's Democrats were in attendance during this past weekend's party meeting, one notably absent was Senator Ben Pangelinan.

KUAM News has learned that Pangelinan was in the Intensive Care Unit at the Guam Memorial Hospital. During the meeting party chairman Rory Respicio stated Pangelinan had noted a "doctor's note" excusing him for his absence. GMH officials have informed KUAM that all inquiries are to be referred to Pangelinan's office. His chief of staff Lisa Dames says she is not at liberty to release any information at this time.
