Guam - In Piti, ground was broken this morning for the replacement of welded petroleum distribution piping at Cabras. The project consists of the removal and replacement of the existing petroleum pipelines, fire protection line and appurtenances along glass breakwater.

DPW director Carl Dominguez said, "The port really is extremely vital to the welfare, it recognizes the extremely important interconnection between the port and the highway system."

The $1.5 million project is fully funded by the Federal Highway Administration and is scheduled to be completed in February 2015.
