Guam - Guam Highway Patrol has launched an investigation following the death of a female passenger in a single car crash early this morning.

According to Guam Police Department spokesperson Officer AJ Balajadia, it was just before 1 a.m. when the male operator of a 2007 Toyota Tercel lost control of his vehicle and ran off the roadway into the corner of the Security Title Building in Tamuning.

Two adult males were seated in the front while two females were seated in the rear.

All four were transported to GMH where one female was pronounced dead upon arrival.

GMH nursing supervisor Josie Zamora confirms the second female was discharged while the two men remain in stable condition.

Meanwhile, medical examiner Dr. Aurelio Espinola confirms the female died of a broken neck. Her death marks the eleventh traffic related fatality of the year.
