Sophia Duenas named principal of Tiyan High

Guam - A principal for Tiyan Highschool has been chosen. DOE superintendent Jon Fernandez has named Sophia Duenas as the principal of the new high school. Her appointment is effective June 16th. Duenas has eighteen years experience as an educator having served as a teacher, department chair, and assistant principal for curriculum. Most recently Duenas has served as the principal of the Untalan Middle School which currently occupies the campus. Duenas will continue to address facilities and equipment, student enrollment, curriculum, staffing, student life and public outreach.
