Guam - What should've been a routine bread delivery turned violent for a Guam Bakery employee.

According to Guam Bakery general manager Henri Oftana, the employee was prompted to pull over while en route to Aguon Store in Barrigada Thursday afternoon. Once pulled over, two suspects threatened the driver with a knife and screwdriver.

"Its never happened outside. The delivery guys are generally vigilant, aware of the things going on. The trucks are usually locked all the way around. Its just bread in there and the money is always on the person. From my recollection its never happened before, even in the bakery," he said.

Along with the driver's cellphone, Oftana estimates the suspects made off with $400 to $500 in cash from yesterday's sales.

If you have any information about this case please call Guam Crime Stoppers at 477-HELP (4357).
