Fallen heroes honored

Guam - It was a heartfelt ceremony as members of the National Guard and their families paid tribute to the fallen heroes lost in battle while serving in Operation Enduring Freedom. Lieutenant Colonel Michael Tougher said, "They went with songs to the battle they were young.

They were sconce to the end against odd uncounted they fell with their faces to the foe they shall not grow old as we that are left grow old age shall not weary them nor the years condemn at the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them."

Honored for their sacrifice as the flags flew at half staff and memorial plaques unveiled were Sergeant Christopher Fernandez, Sergeant Gregory Fejeran, Sergeant Samson Mora, Sergeant Brian Leon Guerrero, Sergeant Eugene Aguon and Specialist Dwayne Flores.
