Judge rules home invasion sentencing was unconstitutional

Guam - It was back in January Raymond Tedtaotao was handed down two life sentences for the Nimitz Hill home invasion.

As of today however, he'll only have to spend the next 55 years behind bars - 20 years for attempted murder and aggravated assault, 25 years for robbery, and 10 years for burglary.

In Judge Maria Cenzon's courtroom today, she noted the initial sentence may have been unconstitutional.

Following the reduced sentencing, the Attorney General's Office released a statement noting they respectfully disagree with the court and will appeal today's action.
