Guam - The Guam Election Commission will be discussing the situation regarding the recent mishaps with the mail.  Thousands of residents have been impacted by changes that have been implemented by the US Postal Service.  The delivery debacle has landed on the doorsteps of the GEC.

Executive director Maria Pangelinan, "If our placement of the voter in his or her district is based on a residence address and these people that are affected by the US Post Office there residence address is typically their mailing address, so if a person is in Tamuning and he's required to put Barrigada as his mailing address that puts Guam Election Commission in a quandary because we have to put it in writing or the voter has to put it in writing that his residence address is this and then we see right below it a different village or district what are we to do."

Pangelinan says the situation with the mail will be discussed during their board meeting scheduled for Thursday at 5;34pm in Hagatna. Thousands of residents have been experiencing problems with the mail after the US Postal Service began using new computer technology that sorts mail automatically and rejects those addresses not inputted in their database.
