Guam - Today marks the start of National Hospitals Week and to kick off the festivities the Guam Memorial Hospital held an opening ceremony to celebrate this year's theme of Compassion, Innovation, Dedication...The Commitment Continues. Hospital administrator Joseph Verga said, "You heard this is the week of celebrating compassion and dedication and compassion is really what the folks here are about everyday folks here our doctor's nurses and housekeepers everyone comes to work here every day and gives a hundred percent they are very passionate dedicated."

This is a week of celebrating for GMH not only because it is Hospital's Week but also because of the recent $2 million equipment donation from the US Naval Hospital as well as the completion of the physician's parking area which frees up about 18 parking spaces for the public's use.
