Guam - They are the top high school chefs in America and it's the second year in a row the Guam Community College's Career Technology Education ProStart team from Simon Sanchez High School took top honors at the National ProStart Invitational in Minneapolis, Minnesota. And get this - they earned their championship repeat with only three members, while the 42 other teams they competed against had four to five members each. Team captain Macdaniel Dimla says winning a second time is unbelievable. The team's mentor chef is Chef Peter Duenas of Meskla Restaurant and current Micronesian Chefs Association president. He comments that they took all the information last year and applied it to this year's competition.  ProStart is one of the 10 CTE programs GCC offers in Guam's five public high schools.
