Guam - Senator Rory Respicio is the first individual to officially file his candidacy for senator for this year's primary election. According to the Guam Election Commission, Respicio met all the requirements and submitted his packet for another term in the Guam Legislature surrounded by family, friends and staff. More than three dozen individuals have picked up candidacy packets to run for several races in this year's election including governor, senator, delegate to congress, attorney general, consolidated commission on utilities and the Guam Education Board. The deadline to file your candidacy for the August primary election is on July 1st.

Make sure to check out KUAM's broadcast of the Guam Community College's recent senatorial forums. We are airing them all this week and next week on Local 2.

Tonight at 9:30 you can catch the prospective democratic senatorial candidate. Then tomorrow you can watch the Republican candidates at 9:30pm as well.
