Guam - In conjunction with ongoing Law Week festivities, Supreme Court of Guam held appellate session on Wednesday at the Father Duenas Phoenix Center.

Before a crowd of students, justices listened to arguments relative to the execution of DUI checkpoints on Guam as addressed in the matter: People of Guam v. William Calhoun.

According to defense attorney Randall Cunliffe, the DUI checkpoint that pulled over Calhoun exactly two years ago did not meet constitutional standards. As a result, he maintains the motion to suppress evidence should've been granted at the trial court level.

The case was taken under advisement.
