Guam - There are over four hundred nurses on island making a difference in the lives of patients young and old from the hospital, clinics, and schools at one point a nurse has taken care of you and so we celebrate these men and women who have chosen nursing as their profession.
"Nurses is there the little way in improving the health and well being of the patients the little way in innovations the little way in shaping the healthcare system nurses is there in every step of the way," said Guam Nurses Association chairperson Ross Grino.
Nurses play a crucial role in making patients feel comfortable and help calm the nerves of those who they encounter, as the governor recalls his memories of doctor's visits growing up it was a nurse who showed compassion. "The two ladies that were always there to comfort me or actually or either to take my temperature or make me feel comfortable or sometimes to even do the injection were and I remember them it was Bea blas and Cynthia Ecube's mother Becky," he said.
