Roundtable on Draft SEIS

Guam - The Committee on the Guam US Military Relocation will be holding a roundtable discussion on the 2014 Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement. As we reported, the Draft SEIS was released over a week ago providing an analysis of the proposed housing and live-fire training range complex and the associated infrastructure to support the relocation of the Marines from Okinawa to Guam. Oversight chair Senator Frank Aguon Jr. says the roundtable will focus on key differences between the 2010 final EIS and the 2014 Draft SEIS, the review of the executive summary, associated population change, preferred alternatives and notice of the public meeting schedule and format. If you can't make the roundtable tonight at the Guam Legislature, you still have several opportunities to comment on the SEIS as three open houses are set for next month in different parts of the island. You can view those dates along with the Draft SEIS at guambuildupeis.us.
