Guam - One of the main defendants accused of supplying methamphetamine from Nevada to co-defendants in Guam appeared via video teleconference in the District Court today.

As previously reported, the court has allowed Eder Cortez-Zelaya to remain in Nevada until further notice because he cannot afford a trip to Guam.

Because his attorney, Phillip Torres is already scheduled to travel to the states in May, he has agreed to meet with his client. As a result, the court will continue today's proceedings on May 13.

Cortez-Zelaya is one of twelve named in a major drug ring in which he and Francisco Arias are charged with supplying ten Guam residents with large quantities of crystal methamphetamine between 2010 and march of this year.
