Guam - If you've always wanted to earn your GED but never felt confident enough to take the test, there's a new program to help you. Called "Imagine! Soaring Towards A Diploma," project director Rosa Palomo says their grant allows at least 140 individuals to receive free GED preparation courses.

She told KUAM News, "We want to bring the classes closer to the individuals who need this. We are not discriminating against the ages as long as they're at least 16 years old and they have no high school diploma or no GED."

Palomo says interested students can pre-register at their mayors office.

Once students are identified, the program can move forward with identifying a site to host classes. As Palomo reported to village mayors, they're hoping to provide classes to residents who don't have easy access to similar programs like those offered at the Guam Community College.
