Guam - Over 160 participants attended the Guam Power Authority's summit on their Integrated Resource Plan. Focusing on liquid natural gas and renewable resources such as wind and solar the summit aimed to provide participants with a better understanding of how GPA plans to move towards sustainability.
GPA spokesperson Art Perez said, "We have views from different parts of the industry local professionals that are in the LNG industry and what's the best approach that we need to consider here as a solution for Guam and tomorrow we wrap up this part of the conference with a tour of the harbor facilities that are available here on the island."
At the close of the conference GPA will compile the information, feedback and knowledge gathered and make it available on their website as a forum to allow residents to provide their input. Perez says the whole point is to be able to provide future generation of power that is reliable, affordable and clean to island residents.
