Guam - Lawmakers were in legislative session today. Several bills were discussed including the Vulnerable Victims Act, bills dealing with employee privacy and the invasion of privacy. Senators in the meantime spent a considerable amount of time on Bill 286 introduced by Senator Tommy Morrison. His bill would establish a Guam history and Chamorro Heritage Day as a legal holiday of the government. Senators also moved Resolution 138 to the Third Reading File. The measure requests Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo to support modifications to the antiquated and Restrictive Merchant Marine Act of 1920 more commonly known as The Jones Act. Session resumes tomorrow.
