Guam - Despite a plea offer, Keith Garrido will go to trial later this year for three pending criminal cases.
As he appeared in court this morning via video teleconference, Garrido refused to give the court his attention, shuffling in his shackles in circles with his head hung low. When he finally acknowledged the court, he yelled, "I told you guys I didn't do nothing. I didn't do it!" The court ended the videoconference noting extreme concern as the defendant failed to cooperate. Proceedings continued with the government declining the defense's plea offer. Jury trial and selection are slated for October 6.
Garrido is being held behind bars accused of murdering a woman in Barrigada and then escaping from DepCor custody and invading a Chalan Pago home and attempting to murder another woman.
