Body of missing diver found

Guam - Family and friends gathered at the Hagatna Marina as the body of a diver who had been missing in the waters off of the Marbo Cave area since Sunday was brought in. "We dispatched our search and rescue units along with the U.S. Coast Guard and we also requested support from Navy HSC-25 to get the search and rescue mission underway unfortunately we ran across time with daylight so when the sunset we halted the search and the continued at first daylight," said Guam Fire Department spokesperson Lt. Ed Artero the 24-year-old man was found by GFD divers. Artero adds the 24-year-old was with a group of friends who were along the cliffside area. The man was the only one to jump in.

    Mark Charfauros informed of slight delay in his trial

    Will he make his comeback to the Guam Police Department? He'll need to have his case settled in the courts before the Civil Service Commission will entertain his termination appeal. Former police colonel Mark Charfauros appeared in court on Tuesday. There he was advised there would be a slight delay to his February trial.     It's official. In an order issued this week, Chief Judge Frances Tydingco-Gatewood dismissed with prejudice the case against two Guam Education Board members in their individual capacities. They are Rosie Tainatongo and Jose Cruz, both of whom resolved their issues with Department of Education Superintendent Jon Fernandez.
