by Krystal Paco

Guam - A man arrested earlier this week for forcing himself on a sleeping woman is a repeat offender. According to the Guam Sex Offender Registry, 25-year-old John Friedrich Olarte is a 3rd degree sex offender.

According to court documents in January 2013, Olarte committed a similar crime in which he entered a Dededo home and touched a sleeping woman underneath her panties. when the woman awoke, he was standing wearing only his underwear and pulling her hand to touch his private parts.

Because he entered a plea agreement, Olarte was sentenced to only eight months in jail and fined $200.

On Wednesday Olarte was arrested again for a similar crime where he entered a Tumon condo and kissed and touched a sleeping woman, forcing his private parts on her face. When the victim called for help, he fled through the window stealing her phone and later texting the victim's boyfriend asking for forgiveness and not to report him.

Olarte is charged with attempted criminal sexual conduct, home invasion, burglary, criminal trespass, and theft of property.
