Guam - Department of Education facilities and maintenance manager Billy Cruz confirms Agueda Johnston Middle and Marcial Sablan Elementary School were broken into last week.
Cruz says vandals trashed the campuses, breaking windows and stealing from vending machines.
Meanwhile, the status of the Secure Our Schools Act remains unclear as the invitation for bid for surveillance equipment for the island's schools has yet to be posted on the General Services Agency website. The public law provides over $1 million in funding for the purchase of school security for the island's 40 public schools.
