Rodney Taitano sentenced to a decade behind bars

Guam - Rodney Taitano was sentenced to ten years behind bars today after pleading guilty to conspiring to distribute more than 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine hydrochloride.  Taitano is accused of smuggling the drugs in pneumatic wrenches.

The federal government had recommended more than thirteen years but the court imposed a ten-year sentence. 

Taitano will also be placed on supervised release for five years upon release from prison.
