Guam - The Guam Environmental Protection Agency sent a team to conduct a visual inspection of the area near the Dededo Residential Transfer Station reportedly contaminated with hazardous waste last Friday. Photos of the area were taken from a distance to ensure the safety of the team.

According to the agency's administrator Eric Palacios at this point his office is working on putting a status report together for submission to the District Court on April 2. He adds that they are waiting on ownership information from land management to determine who may be responsible for the contamination. As we reported an assessment of the area noted the presence of PCB and lead which the federal receiver noted would be costly to mitigate.
