Guam - A Guam Guardsman pleaded not guilty in the District Court today to stealing from the federal government. Anthony Mariano appeared with his lawyer, David Lujan, this morning. He is accused of submitting a bogus lease agreement to claim $1,800 in Overseas Housing Allowance funds.
It's alleged he illegally received more than $87,000 over a seven-year period. Mariano was released pending the trial, which is scheduled to begin on September 9.
