HASC hears testimony on NDAA

Guam - In the nations' capitol the House Armed Services Committee heard testimony on the Department of Defense's Fiscal Year 2015 budget request.  During the hearing Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo stressed the need to remove the remaining restrictions on the funds from the government of Japan contained in last year's NDAA. When questioned on its importance however, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel didn't directly answer the question. Here's a portion of their exchange during the hearing today in dc.

In the last couple NDAA's the Senate has continuously included provisions that restrict the use of government of Japan funds for the marines relocation from Okinawa to Japan until the Defense Department means certain criteria.
