Guam - A multi-agency strike force operation conducted at the Port Authority on Wednesday resulted in dozens of cargo and vehicle inspections as well as numerous credential checks. As a result of the operation, one container was detained, three vehicles were found in violation and there was one arrest.
The strike force operation was conducted to enhance the safe movement of cargo while deterring and detecting contraband moving through the port. One truck driver, John Dean Querry, was arrested after he was found in possession a small coin purse that contained crystal methamphetamine residue.
Coast Guard Sector Guam Commanding Officer Captain Casey White says local and federal partners want to make this operation a routine to deter, detect, and enforce maritime and custom laws.
