Guam - Guam slingstones listed for sale on eBay have been taken down.
As we first brought you the story last week, four groups of items listed as rare archaic Guam Chamorro slingtones were up for bid from a seller based out of Thailand for $80 and up.
Following the discovery of such items, Guam state archeologist John Mark Joseph tells KUAM he reported them to eBay as the site's policies protect artifacts.
Today, the items are no longer up for bid as the site states they are no longer available.
Joseph says he believes this is a result of eBay asking the seller to remove the items, as they would encourage illegal activity.
As we previously reported, Guam law provides for artifacts to be returned to the people of Guam.
