Guam - Starting this week, Government of Guam employees can begin filing their appeals over the Guam Competitive Wage Act of 2014. It was two weeks ago, when the governor's Hay plan proposal went into affect for thousands of GovGuan employees.
Because of the executive order declaring Monday March 3rd a GovGuam holiday in celebration of Guam History and Chamorro Heritage Day, employees can instead start filing the following day. DOA will begin accepting the appeals in June. The review process allows employees to ask for the pay grade assigned to their position to be re-examined if they believe it should be higher. Employees can pick up request for review forms from their department's administrative or personnel staff or online at www.hr.doa.guam.gov.
