Stray dog survey continues down south

Guam - Local officials are hitting the halfway mark at completing a survey to gather information relative to residents' thoughts on sterilization and other pet owner habits.

As Guam Animals In Need president Peggy Denny tells KUAM, volunteers will continue the door-to-door survey this weekend in southern villages.

While they make progress on surveys, Denny admits they've only started their dog count in which volunteers walk each of the ten selected villages to count dogs, both tied and running loose, their physical shape, and their gender.

All of these efforts are in line with controlling the island's out of control stray dog population.

Volunteers are welcome to assist. Call Denny at 483-9415.
