No public school classes on Monday

by Sabrina Salas Matanane

Guam - if your child attends a DOE school, mark your calendars.

With yesterday's executive order declaring Monday, March 3 a GovGuam holiday in celebration of Guam History and Chamorro Heritage Day, there will be no classes at DOE schools that day.

As a result, DOE announces April 14 will be used to make up the lost instructional time.

If your child attends Simon Sanchez High School, April 15 will be used as a makeup day as classes are already scheduled to be in session on April 14.

This falls in line with Public Law 28-45 that requires doe to provide at least 180 instructional days to students.
