Recanor appears in court

Guam - A burglary suspect who prompted a lock down of a middle school earlier this month because he escaped police custody appeared in court today.  Benjamin Recanor pleaded not guilty to burglary charges. he also waived his right to a speedy trial. He's scheduled to return to the superior court on March 19th for a criminal trial setting. It's the same day he's scheduled to appear for a pre-trial conference for a 2013 felony case.

    At 10:21 a.m. on Sunday, The U.S. Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.9 that struck 54 km ESE of Inarajan village, with a depth of 35.5 km.There were no reports made to Guam E911 dispatch of damages or injuries from the earthquake.
