Guam - Jackie Yong Lee was re-sentenced in the District Court today to 41 months behind bars with credit for time served. Lee was a co-conspirator in one of the island's largest drug trafficking rings. She was originally sentenced to 8 years in prison for her involvement in bringing crystal meth from California to Guam.
The Ninth Circuit Court found that the District Court failed to use the sentencing guidelines as a starting point when determining lee's sentence. Additionally it held that the district court incorrectly calculated the guidelines range and failed to determine a revised minimum sentence.
Lee will also have to serve five years on supervised release.
