Bills address improvements to schools islandwide

by Krystal Paco

Guam - It's good news for Simon Sanchez High School and other schools islandwide.

In her weekly address, committee chair on education Speaker Judi Won Pat says with the enactment of Bill 225 and Bill 226 into law, school campuses will get the financial support to address deteriorating facilities, out-of-date designs, and overcrowded classroom situations.

Both bills provide funding for the renovation or the construction of a new Simon Sanchez High as well as the rehabilitation of the 35 public schools excluding newly built schools.

Won Oat states the success of the two bills is wonderful news as it sets us on a path toward improving the overall learning experience in all our schools.
