POST Commission discusses draft rules and regulations

Guam - Members of the Peace Officer Standards Commission met today. The group, comprised of representatives from various public safety agencies, has been revising the commission's rules and regulations.

Part of the discussion today focused on the different categories of peace officers and the pre-employment qualifications for all applicants.

Lieutenant Governor Ray Tenorio sat in on today's discussions and provided input on the draft rules and regulations.

The POST Commission was created to establish and set minimum standards for training, hiring, ethical conduct and retention of peace officers in the territory. 

Another meeting will be held next Thursday.

    KUAM demos new Roku app at IT&E

    This past weekend, we got out of the office and hit the road at the IT&E Store in the Agana Shopping Center to do in-store demos of our new app for Roku. Our newest service showed anxious new users people how they can stream all of our content on-demand wherever they are, and search our massive news video archive for their favorite stories.

    FBLG hosts SLAMMERS event

    Teaching the students skills outside of the classroom. FB Leon Guerrero middle school hosted the first ever SLAMMERS program closing exhibition. The program, which stands for sciences, languages, arts, mentorship, math, electives and reading for students, was held on Saturday. Participants there were provided demonstrations on student learning in cooking, basketball, Pacific cultural dance, youth Muay Thai, and more.
