by Ken Quintanilla

Guam - A congressional delegation is set to pay the island a visit this evening. According to Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo's office, the delegation is arriving from Hawaii, making Guam the second of four stops in the Asia Pacific Region. The delegation is led by House Armed Services Readiness Subcommittee chairman Representative Robert Wittman of Virginia who will be joined by representative Bill Flores of Texas and professional staff members. Bordallo says the codel will not only visit military facilities on island and get updates on the progress of the realignment of Marines to Guam but will be briefed on the THAAD deployment and explore Guam's role in supporting the U.S. rebalance to the Asia-Pacific Region. The delegation will also be meeting with the Governor's Office, the Guam Legislature and other local stakeholders.
